2025. The Best in the World "Gourmand Awards", shortlisted in the categories: B21 Field Work and D16 Indigenous Studies. The Best in the World in each category will be announced at the awards ceremony in Portugal in June 2025. There are 220 finalists from 61 countries.​

2025. NAISA Book Prize. Native American and Indigenous Studies Association to recognize outstanding scholarly work in the field.  “Recovering Our Ancestral Foodways: Indigenous Traditions as a Recipe for Living Well” has been recognized with an Honourable Mention for the Best First Book!
